Andien Aisyah's Custody Pattern, Children Need To Grow Up To Be Yourself, Not Shadow Parents' Expectations

Singer Andien Aisyah pays great attention to parenting in the modern era. He is known to adhere to parenting that respects freedom and uniqueness of children, and rejects approaches that limit their exploration space.

According to Andien, it is important for parents to let go of their personal ego and ambition so that their children can grow up to be the best version of themselves, not just living a dream that has not been achieved from their parents.

Many children grow up with high pressures or expectations that come from their own desires, but because of the projection of their parents' wishes. Child happiness is clearly not born from there," said Andien, as quoted by ANTARA.

The singer of the song 'Anaku Sayang' emphasized the importance of empowering parents to be able to raise their children with a wise approach, support potential, and provide a safe space for children to know and love themselves.

"Most importantly, parents must provide value, understanding, and knowledge about who the child really is. Children need encouragement to be themselves," he said.

Andien also underlined the new challenges faced by today's children, including the impact of technological advances and lifestyle changes. According to him, parents' awareness of this is very important so that children stay physically and mentally healthy.

Commemorating National Children's Day (HAN) July 23, 2025, Andien hopes that every Indonesian child can grow happily, physically and mentally, and have confidence in facing the future.

"My hope is that Indonesian children can grow up healthy, intelligent, independent, and 'most importantly' happy," he said.

The HAN 2025 commemoration carries the theme "Anak Great, Strong Indonesia Towards Golden Indonesia 2045" with the tagline "Anak Indonesia Brothers". This theme reflects the collective spirit to grow a healthy, resilient, and competitive young generation, as well as strengthen solidarity in the midst of national diversity.
