JAKARTA - The JF3 Fashion Festival is again in the spotlight in the Indonesian fashion calendar, featuring a series of works from cross-generation designers and backgrounds.
This festival is not only a celebration of fashion, but also a reflection of the long journey of the country's fashion industry towards a more sustainable and innovative future. Through the collections displayed, JF3 emphasizes the importance of skills, creative exploration, and collaboration that enrich the narrative of Indonesian culture.
Stepping on the 20th age, JF3 raised the theme "Recrafted: A New Vision", which invites industry players to re-evaluate cultural heritage roots and use them as inspiration towards innovation.
The main message of this theme is how fashion works can remain relevant without losing the values that form local identities.
According to Thresia Mareta, the founder of LAKON Indonesia as well as advisor to JF3, fashion is not limited to clothing products, but a medium that includes cultural heritage, arts, ethical values, and science.
"To keep traditions alive, we must continue to encourage its evolution," he said at a JF3 press conference in Jakarta, recently.
He emphasized the importance of getting out of the comfort zone so that the creative process is not stagnant and continues to open space for the development of new ideas.
JF3 2025 will be held in two locations: July 24 at Summarecon Mall Kelapa Gading and August 30 at Summarecon Mall Serpong.
More than 45 designers and brands will display their collections, including names already known in the industry such as Howard Laurent, Hartono Gan, Sofie, tipo Abram, to LAKON Indonesia. A number of other local labels such as Metamorph by Zack, Nes By HDK, and Future Loundry also enlivened the JF3 stage.
This year's JF3 expands its reach through international collaboration, strengthening its position as a cultural diplomacy event through fashion. French designer Victor Clavelly, who previously worked with big names such as Beyonc\'e and FKA Twigs, will collaborate with LAKON Indonesia and designer H\'eloie Bouchot.

Meanwhile, at Summarecon Mall Serpong, this event collaborated with DRP Paris to hold Code Street by DRP Jakarta, streetwear festival and urban culture which are now entering its second year.
The regeneration of industry players is an important focus in this edition. The Future Fashion Award is a new initiative that provides financial support and mentoring for two selected young brands. Assistance is carried out with LAKON Indonesia to build a sustainable production and business system.
The Incubator's DOOR Program, the results of the collaboration between JF3, LAKON Indonesia, and the French Institute (IFI), has now entered its fourth year with increasingly visible results in the development of participants. The search for the JF3 Model Search model and cross-generational strategic discussions through JF3 Talk helped strengthen this industrial ecosystem in terms of human resources.
Soegianto Nagaria, Chairman of JF3, emphasized that the agenda has been a growth space for many industry players over the past two decades. According to him, the strength of this event lies in its consistency in building supporting structures, including connections with retail and buyers.
"We believe the future of the Indonesian fashion industry is in the hands of the younger generation who dare to explore and exceed the limits," he said.
This festival is now expanding into an open space that combines creativity, cultural heritage, and technology in one mutually strengthening movement.
