Hardiknas, Anies Baswedan Calls For Equal Education

JAKARTA - Former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan called for improvement in education in Indonesia so that it could progress even further.

"One of our nation's homework, how can education be even and of high quality so that every child has the same opportunity to have a future," he said during a halal bihalal event with his sympathizers at a hotel in the Kediri Regency, East Java, Saturday.

He considered education to be a very good provision given to children. With education, they can have a brighter future.

He also appreciated the halal bihalal activities held in Kediri Regency. The enthusiasm of the community is very high and willing to come from various regions in East Java to attend.

"The enthusiasm is extraordinary, very happy to be able to stay in touch," he said.

He also said that his visit to Kediri was in the context of halal bihalal organized by his friends in the past (when running for President of the Republic of Indonesia).

"I am grateful to return to Kediri, halal bihalal organized by my friends in the struggle. And this is a good tradition in Indonesia, we have a tradition like this, there is an opportunity to forgive each other, bind the ties of friendship to be stronger," he said.

Asked about the support to run again in the presidential election in the future, he did not want to discuss it and only emphasized that this was a halal bihalal event.

Meanwhile, the event committee Budi Utami admitted that he was grateful that Anies Baswedan could attend the event in Kediri.

He said that he and his friends in the previous struggle really wanted Anies Baswedan to be present at Kediri. It was originally planned for Syawal 2025, but because the event schedule was still postponed and has only been realized at this time.

"We are trying to bring Mr. Anies to Kediri. We establish friendship and don't look at what party, what community matters is that the community wants change," he said.

He still believes that the figure of Anies Baswedan is still suitable to become a candidate for the leader of this country. This is also in line with Indonesia's hopes of gold.

"This event is the hope that we all want Indonesia to be better, so unite, don't be divided just because of the mass organizations (community organizations) that we have or the party. Indonesia really needs and will be better," he said.

This event was attended by sympathizers from all over East Java. Apart from meeting with sympathizers, Anies Baswedan also met with the Mayor of Kediri Vinanda Prameswati.
