JAKARTA - Jakarta is again the center of attention of the Muslim fashion industry with the holding of Ramadan Runway 2025. The event, which is the result of the collaboration between the Indonesian Fashion Designers and Entrepreneurs Association (APPMI) and Kota Kasablanka, will present a series of interesting events, ranging from the Ramadan Parade, Exhibition, Workshop, Fundraising Pop-up Market, to Fashion Show.

The event was held March 19 - April 13 at Grand Atrium, Mosaic Walk, and Fashion Atrium Kota Kasablanka. This year, Ramadan Runway carries the theme 'Night in Egypt', presenting a typical Egyptian atmosphere rich in culture and history.

Since its establishment 30 years ago, APPMI has consistently presented a trend of Muslim clothing, especially before or during the month of Ramadan. APPMI General Chair, Poppy Dharsono said Ramadan Runway has been part of APPMI's long journey in popularizing Muslim fashion in Indonesia.

"APPMI was founded 30 years ago, has one event, namely the Muslim fashion trend and is usually done before or during Ramadan. Ramadan Runway exists, we unite it. We organize Ramadan Runway which has been 13 times. Thank you very much," said Poppy Dharsono, when met on Jl. Raya Casablanca, Tebet, South Jakarta on Friday, March 21.

In addition, APPMI also continues to be committed to providing a forum for talented young designers. One form of support is seen in the Indonesia Young Designer Competition, which is held annually at the same time as Indonesia Fashion Week (IFW). This year, this competition attracted hundreds of participants from various regions in Indonesia.

"Every designer has the potential, we are always ready to accept them. Every year during IFW, there is an Indonesia Young Designer Competition, this year there are hundreds from Indonesia," added Poppy Dharsono.

As one of the leading shopping centers and lifestyles in Jakarta, Kota Kasablanka has again collaborated with APPMI to organize Ramadan Runway 2025.

According to Agung Gunawan, Senior Promotion Manager of Kota Kasablanka, this year the event will present something more special with the presence of senior models who have not appeared on the runway stage for a long time.

"This year the City of Kasablanka collaborated with APPMI to present a Ramadan event titled Ramadan Runway. From us, we have invited a senior model that has not been around for a long time. Ramadan Runway presents 60 well-known designers," said Agung Gunawan.

The theme 'Night in Egypt' was chosen to present a typical Egyptian atmosphere known for its unique exotic markets and fashion culture. Designer Ariy Arka highlighted how this theme will bring a different shopping and fashion experience for visitors to Kota Kasablanka.

"The spread with the theme of the Middle East Ramadan is certain. We are tracing other Middle Easts, one of which is Egypt. It's known for its extraordinary market, we want visitors to Kota Kasablanka to enjoy the market here. How do we bring the market here," said Ariy Arka.

As one of the largest Ramadan fashion events in Indonesia, Ramadan Runway 2025 presents various interesting events that visitors can enjoy, including the Ramadan parade, exhibition, workshop, fundraising pop-up market, and fashion shows with Egyptian landscapes and accents.

The opening ceremony of Ramadan Runway 2025 will be even more lively with Vina Panduwinata's appearance, as well as Rose.Ma.Lina's special fashion show. 'Welcome Back to Runway' which presents legendary senior models such as Arzeti Bilbina, Catherine Wilson, Dian Tanjung, Elmo Hill, Laura Muljadi, Mira Sayogo, Naila Alatas, Yongki Komaladi, Soraya Haque, and Debby Sahertian.

In addition, the designer parade will feature a collection of 60 well-known Indonesian designers, including Abeey, Erdan, Leny Rafael, Dana Duriyatna, Naniek Rachmat, Yoyok, Rryni House, Koyko, Melookmel, Nunok, Dimas Mahendra, Jeny Tjahyawati, Nieta Hidayani, Defrico Audy, Clue, Sisesa, Poppy Dharsono, Tuty Adib, Kunce, and Chintami Atmanagara.
