Timoth Chalamet Willing To Pay IDR 413 Million For Bob Dylan's Old Jacket, Here's What It Looks Like

JAKARTA - Hollywood actor Timoth Chalamet has just bought a used denim jacket worn by legendary musician Bob Dylan. This jacket was sold in an auction for US$25,400 or around Rp413 million.

Reporting from the People page, the jacket is a denim jacket with colorful patching decorated with various symbols, such as flowers and signs of peace. Bob Dylan wore it in the musical drama film Hearts of Fire in 1987.

After years, the jacket was auctioned by Julien's Auctions at Bob Dylan's 'Celebrating: The Aronowitz Archive & More' on January 18, 2025 at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum, Nashville.

In an upload on Instagram, Chalamet shared a photo of himself wearing the jacket. He combined it with dark loose jeans. The photo shows Chalamet walking towards the camera with a background at home and a ping pong table, while his face is not visible.

Not only jackets, but various other valuables belonging to Bob Dylan were also sold at the auction. One of them is a hand sketch on the Plaza Hotel memo paper which sells for US $ 88,900 or Rp. 1.4 billion, as well as handwritten lyrics for Blowin' in the Wind which sells for US $ 44,450 or Rp. 731 million.

Timothmen Chalamet himself is known as a Bob Dylan fan and even plays the musician in the biopic A Complete Unknown (2024). During the promotion of the film, he appeared with Dylan's inspired style several times, including wearing GapStudio-designed clothes specially made for him.
