JAKARTA - In a growing digital world, gamers' lifestyle has now become a trend that cannot be ignored. From just a hobby, playing games can now be a promising profession.

Many gamers spend hours practicing, building strategies, and developing their skills. Not only that, the solid gaming community also makes gamers more motivated to continue to grow.

One real example of the development of this gaming world is Najel Mikasa, an influencer and talent from the EVOS Esports team.

Najel Mikasa has been a part of the world of e-sports for almost eight years. He said he was happy to see the increasingly rapid development of the gaming industry in Indonesia. Since he first entered as a pro player in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) in 2017, Najel has felt various changes in e-sports scenarios, especially after he turned into a talent and content creator.

As a gamer born on December 18, 2003, Najel hopes to continue to inspire young people to pursue their passion in the gaming world.

"The more popular e-sports among millennials and alpha-generation, he wants to show that this industry has many opportunities for anyone who wants to jump into it," Najel said in the 7th Anniversary celebration of EVOS and Pop Mie collaborations in Jakarta, recently.

Najel recalled how he used to be able to play games up to 12 hours a day in order to increase his ranking. Now, after becoming a content creator, his playing time has decreased to around five to seven hours per day.

"In the past, I could play games up to 12 hours a day, but now it's only two to seven hours," he added.

According to Najel, playing games for up to 12 hours a day certainly requires special efforts to maintain his mood and enthusiasm. He said, one way to keep his mood good is to keep playing games while enjoying snacks.

"For me, yes, because I played with my friends, it's still fun even though it's been hours of push rank. At least when you start to get bad mood, usually push games while eating snacks like that," he said.

On the other hand, as an influencer in the game field, Najel said that currently more and more female pro players have received appreciation in the e-sports industry. He sees this profession as very promising, even though player regeneration occurs very quickly.

"Now, being a female pro player is very promising, but it's a fast regeneration. In e-sports, I think it's more comfortable to be a talent or content creator," he added.

EVOS boss Tony Tham also emphasized that the collaboration between EVOS and Pop Mie is not only limited to business relations, but has grown to something bigger. He sees this partnership as a positive step in building a solid e-sports ecosystem in Indonesia.

"We have created an environment that supports e-sports players, fans, and the younger generation to continue to explore the gaming world in a more enjoyable way," said Tony Tham, Head of Commercial EVOS.

In the future, EVOS is committed to continuing to expand its reach and provide a more exciting experience for gamers and their fans.

"We believe that with strong synergy, we can continue to inspire the younger generation and bring Indonesia's e-sports to a higher level," concluded Tony Tham.
