JAKARTA - Actor Kieran Culkin surprised the audience with his speech while on the Oscar stage 2025. He won Best Supporting Actor through his role in the film A Real Pain.

While on stage, the Succession star reminisced about his speech at Emmy in 2024 where he said his wife, Jazz Charton promised to give him a third child if he won the award.

He continued his speech by mentioning his promise to his wife. He asked the crew not to cut his winning speech.

"After the (emmy) event, we walked into the parking lot and he said 'Oh, God, I said that!' I think I promised you a third child' and I said to him 'I want four (children)', Kieran Culkin said on Sunday, February 2 local time.

"He said 'I'll give you four if you win an Oscar," he said imitating his wife's words.

The 42-year-old actor continued his speech by saying, 'No pressure but let's do it. How do you think?'

Charton's Jazz, who was in the ranks of guests, looked surprised before he nodded and laughed at her husband's speech.

Kieran Culkin and Jazz Charton met at a bar in New York in 2012 and have two children, Kinsey Total and Wilder Wolfe.

Culkin won the trophy beating Guy Pearce, Yuriy Borisov, Edward Norton, and Jeremy Strong who played against him in the Succession series.
