The Synopsis Of 'Overdrive', Spurs Adrenaline Through Luxury Car Races

JAKARTA - The film Overdrive by French director Antonio Negret first aired in 2017. The story of this luxury car race on IMDb received a rating of 5.4/10 from 13.212 reviewers.

Overdrive tells the story of two brothers who steal international luxury cars, Andrew Foster (Scott Eastwood) and Garrett Foster (Freddie Thorp) who are looking for new opportunities in France. They tried to steal a 1937 Bugatti sedan.

Unfortunately, Andrew and Garrett do not realize that the car belongs to the local mafia boss, namely Jacomo Morier (Simon Abkarian). Their burglary attempt is thwarted by Morier's men.

Nearly losing their lives on the tip of the Morier rifle, the two volunteer to take on a more strenuous task. They intend to steal a luxury car belonging to Morier's rival, namely Max Klemp (Clemens Schick). The car to be stolen is Klemp's most expensive collection of a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO valued at USD 38 million.

Morier agreed to the idea on one condition: the theft must be successful within one week. If that doesn't work, their lives are at stake.

Realizing that the task is tough and dangerous, Andrew and Garret form a team. They invite Andrew's girlfriend, Stephanie (Ana de Armas) and Devin (Gaia Wess), two women who are also good at theft.

Throughout the Overdrive film, the audience will be treated to speeding scenes with short trails that are far from the effects of Hollywood films. In addition, the audience will also be spoiled by a row of luxurious antique cars.
