Robert Pattinson Surprised, There Are Still Those Who Hate Twilight And Vampire Genres

JAKARTA - Robert Pattinson started his popularity after playing Edward Cullen in the Twilight film franchise. He was surprised to see the hate comments on the film released in 2008.

"I love people who keep saying to me 'Twice destroys the genre of vampires'," Robert Pattinson told GQ Spain.

"You guys still think that way? How can you be sad about something that happened almost 20 years ago? Crazy," he said.

Suki Waterhouse's fianc revealed that the film was not her first film. He had designed a character for his film to look more emo in accordance with his era but that was not in line with the production house.

"I want to make it look very artistic. We have strange tension when the production house is worried about making things too emo and so on. I think that's the only way to play it," Pattinson said.

"I think it's the only way to play it. I spend so much time angry... I don't believe the way I acted half that time," he said.

He recalled when his manager visited the filming location for the film Twilight and asked him to smile more.

"You will be fired later if you don't stop doing what you're doing," he said imitating his manager.

Robert Pattinson was also not the first choice to play Edward Cullen, but his novel writer Stephanie Meyer says Cavill looks too mature to play a high school boy. Unlike Robert Pattinson, who was then 21 years old and has a mysterious side that is considered to match the character.
