JAKARTA - Every year, the color trend of home paint continues to change along with the development of lifestyles and the aesthetic needs of the community.

Towards the end of this year, the trend of home paint color focuses on the combination of past nostalgia with a modern and environmentally friendly touch. So, what color will be favored next year?

In line with this opinion, Elle Decor's website reveals that global paint company Behr has designated an old red color called Rumors as their main trend for 2025. This color is expected to be able to evoke a nostalgic feel in the 90s era with a modern touch that is more elegant and mature.

Rumors is described as a symbol of new optimism and a freer self-expression, making it relevant in today's design trends. When simplified, the color of these Rumors is maroon red.

Kris also emphasized the importance of choosing paints that not only follow trends, but also consider health and sustainability aspects.

Apart from aesthetics, choosing environmentally friendly paint is very important. Propan Raya is the first paint company in Indonesia to obtain Singapore Green Label certification and has a high Domestic Content Level (TKDN), "explained Kris.

He added that environmentally friendly products will be the main focus in the future, such as water-based paint development.

"In the past, synthetic paint was generally oil-based. Now we are developing environmentally friendly water-based synthetic paint technology, it can even be applied to metals without reducing its inherent power," he said.
