'Move' Through Writing, Okki Sutanto's Way Of Making Changes For A Better Social Environment

JAKARTA - Not a few people experience anxiety in themselves about many things around them or the world today. Starting from the environment, education, economy, and others.

To overcome these concerns, each individual must be able to create changes, which have a sustainable social impact. However, to be committed to creating change requires enthusiasm in yourself to do so.

The writer and entrepreneur who is active on social media, Okki Sutanto, said that to find a spirit of change, a strong reason is needed. Such as carrying out activities of change because you want to create a better environment for children in the future.

"We are moving into a world that is heading for uncertainty, many things are probably going to get worse, there will be many challenges in the future. I don't want my son to grow up in a world that is worse than what we live in today, so that's my spark for now," said Okki Sutanto at the Road to DBS Foundation Bestari Festival: Impact Beyond, in the Gatot Subroto area, South Jakarta, Thursday, October 3, 2024.

Okki himself tried to make changes through the writings he released. He hopes that through his writing, other people can understand new social issues and start moving to create changes.

"Through the writing I want people who don't understand certain issues to understand," he said.

I want to make this world a little better. How can it be from my writing, through my teaching classes and so on. I want to inspire other people to want to move to do things in their own way, no matter how small the impact, through their respective scopes," he added.

Those who want to make changes don't have to start with big things. You can start by studying at social change-themed festivals, then applying them to yourself and the nearest environment in the early stages.

"Everyone has to change the world in such a big way. We can start by learning from festivals (sustainable social changes), in our own way we can make changes in our immediate environment. Maybe in our family, our neighborhood, our organizational environment," explained Okki Sutanto.
