Netflix Buys The Broadcasting Rights For Two Sequels Of 'Knives Out'

JAKARTA - Streaming service Netflix has reportedly purchased the broadcasting rights for two sequels to Rian Johnson's Knives Out.

Cited from Variety today, April 1, Knives Out 2 and Knives Out 3 reunite Johnson with actor Daniel Craig. It is known that his first film received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay and earned a box office title.

Daniel Craig will play the detective Benoit Blanc who finds out the main suspect. In the first film, it is told that a mysterious writer dies because he is murdered in the house.

The author's extended family is suspected of being the perpetrator and suspicion is growing. Knives Out stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collete, Lakeith Stanfield, and Christopher Plummer.

However, with the acquisition of Netflix, they are considering whether this film will be shown in theaters first or simultaneously in theaters and streaming.

Netizens who saw this news regretted that Netflix took the broadcasting rights from Lionsgate as its first production house. Meanwhile, the production process for Knives Out 2 will begin on June 28 in Greece.
