Jacob Elordi And Margot Robbie Star In The Adaptation Of Wuthering Heights

JAKARTA - Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie will meet in the latest film Wuthering Heights. This film is an adaptation of the novel of the same name which will be directed by Emerald Fennell.

This novel became Emily Bronte's only work during her lifetime. Wuthering Heights tells of Heathcliff who takes revenge on those who try to keep her away from her love, Cathy Earnshaw. For a decade, she has been revenge and got a home from Thrushcross Grange, Cathy's husband's house.

Robbie plays Catherine Earnshaw and Jacob Elordi becomes Heathcliff. This news was announced by Emerald Fennell through his personal X account.

LuckyChap, Robbie's production house will produce this film that marks the third collaboration between Robbie and Fennell.

Their collaboration first started in 2020 with the film Promising Young Woman which led Fennell to an Oscar award for Best Original Screenplay.

Then in 2023, Fennell made the film Saltburn, starring Jacob Elordi and produced by Robbie's company. Fennell also co-starred with Margot Robbie in the Barbie film which was released in the same year.

This film is Jacob Elordi's latest project after The Narrow Road to Deep North, Badminton, Oh Canada, and others.

Margot Robbie also prepared A Big Bold Beautiful Journey and produced the film My Old Ass. She is pregnant with her first child with her husband, Tom Ackerley who is producer of LuckyChap.

Wuthering Heights will start production in 2025.
