JAKARTA - The production house Leo Pictures has just released their latest horror film entitled Thagut after previously making a title change on Thursday, August 29 yesterday.

This 102-minute film tells about Ainun (Yasmine Napper) who wants to find out about her father, Abah Mulya (Whani Dharmawan), who turns out to be a respected person in a village because of his expertise in curing others.

However, one day Abah Mulya was found dead unnaturally. Until finally Ainun forced her to come to the village with her two friends, Bagas (Arbani Yasiz) and Rini (Ria Ricis) to bury her father.

Unexpectedly, Ainun was forced to continue his father's black magic by his assistant, Lingga (Dennis Adhiswara) and began to bring terror to those around him.

This film was built in peace, not much background music but can still transmit feelings of tension to the audience.

Not to mention this is supported by the storyline that was built slowly so that the audience could understand Ainun's reasons for finally being willing to continue his father's black magic even though his best friend forbade him.

The idea of the story raised also makes sense and can be accepted by the audience so that the story shown does not seem forced and long-winded.

The deeper value in the film Thagut is that it not only presents fear, sad scenes and tensions, but also family dramas and friendship between players has also succeeded in touching the hearts of the audience.

The acting of the players, especially Ria Ricis and Yasmine Napper, deserves thumbs up. Ria Ricis was able to play her role as Rini very differently from her original character. The comedy elements built by Ria Ricis also felt natural and not forced.

Apart from Ria Ricis, Yasmine Napper as the main star is also quite interesting to the public's attention, especially in the 'gong' part of this film where it shows Yasmine Napper's never imagined abilities and is quite satisfying for the audience.

Several shooting ideas such as the use of ancient video recorders have also become added value in this film because tensions and fear are increasing at that moment.
