3 People Out, Golden Child Continues With 7 Members

JAKARTA - Three people from the K-pop group Golden Child will leave after not extending their contracts. Woollim Entertainment as the agency also revealed who renewed his contract.

"We have just renewed our contracts with five members of Golden Child: Lee Jangjun, Bae Seungmin, Bong Jaehyun, Kim Donghyun, and Hong Joochan," Woollim Entertainment said in a statement.

"Based on the trust built over the years, Woollim Entertainment will support the activities of Golden Child members, namely Lee Jangjun, Bae Seungmin, Bong Jaehyun, Kim Donghyun, Hong Joochan, Lee Daeyeol, and Y," they continued.

Meanwhile, there are three members, namely TAG, Kim Jibeom, and Choi Bomin who chose not to continue the contract. It is not yet known whether the three also left the company.

"After careful discussions, we decided that our management contracts with TAG, Kim Jibeom, and Choi Bomin will end as of today," he said.

"We sincerely thank TAG, Kim Jibeom, and Choi Bomin for their time with us and wish them in their future activities," the agency said.

The agency also explained that Golden Child will continue their activities as a group of 7 members. The agency also mentioned a series of activities as individuals and groups.

"Golden Child will continue their activities as a group of 7 members and interact with fans through groups or individuals," he said.

Golden Child debuted in August 2017 and last released the song Feel Me in 2023. Two of their members, Daeyeol and Y, have carried out their mandatory military duties, Y will complete their duties this September.

Among the three members, Bomin became one of the members who entered the world of acting. He will return to acting through the drama Spirit Fingers.
