Participating In The Oration At The Pilkada Bill Demo, Reza Rahadian Turns Out To Be The Grandson Of A Women's Leader In Indonesia's Movement

JAKARTA - Reza Rahadian became one of the public figures who gave speeches at the Pilkada Bill demonstration which took place in front of the DPR RI Building on Thursday, August 23 yesterday.

Reza, who was wearing a black shirt, was seen orienting on top of the command car, expressing his opinion. He expressed his concern regarding the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) regarding the limits of candidates for governor and deputy governor who will be changed by the DPR RI.

"I came today because as simple as I always tended to be careful in taking a stand, I never wanted to participate in political contestation, I never interfered in election matters and others or who it was that I avoided the most," said Reza Rahadian.

"And I have always made the art world my forum to convey restlessness and social criticism. But today I can no longer stay still, I can't sleep quietly at home after whose face was torn apart before," he continued.

"I don't represent any interests, I have no personal interest I don't participate in any political participation, I am present today as an ordinary people with all my friends, representing no one but the voices of restless people who see our democracy like this," said the actor who once played the character BJ Habibie.

In the midst of this situation, Reza Rahadian was revealed to be the grandson of Francisca Fanggidaej, a national movement figure who is active as a Youth of the Republic of Indonesia (PRI) in Surabaya.

Francisca Franggidaej was born in Nomina on August 16, 1925. He is an interpreter who also works as an English teacher.

Francisca once participated in the September 30th Movement in Chile to represent Indonesia. However, because of his relationship with the People's Youth and Soekarno, he could not return to Indonesia.

The incident made Francisca never mentioned in a history book published in the New Order. Fransisca Fanggidaej chose to stay in China for 20 years and hide her identity.

He died in Utrecht, the Netherlands in November 2013 as a Dutch citizen after handing over his Indonesian status.
