Bob Dylan's Biopic Film, A Complete Unknown Confirmed To Air December 25

JAKARTA - Timoth late Chalamet's latest film, A Complete Unknown will air on Christmas which falls on December 25, 2024. The Searchlight production house released the release date after a report said the film would air on January 17, 2025.

With this date, the film A Complete Unknown will compete with the film Nosferatu which was remake by director Robert Eggers.

The film A Complete Unknown follows Bob Dylan's journey set in New York in 1960 at the age of 19th. He started a career from the folk community that builds music opportunities.

The teaser, which was released last month, begins with Chalamet walking along Manhattan's streets and passes through several favorite Bob Dylan venues like Cafe Wha? and Hotel Chelsea.

The next minute featured Chalamet singing A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall accompanying the transition of love triangle between Bob Dylan, Joan Baez (Monica Barbaro) and Sylvie Russo (Elle Fanning).

James Mangold as director adapted Dylan Goes Electric's 2015 book by Total Wald. Then the script was done by Jay Cocks with the title of the film that borrowed Dylan's signature anthem, namely Like a Rolling Stone.

Bob Dylan, who is still alive at the age of 83, was not involved in the production of the film. But he is said to have provided notes for the script and advised the director.

"I spent a few days in his office talking to him (Bob Dylan). I have a script that has notes from him and I love him very much," James Mangold quoted Variety as saying.
