Talking About Contracts At Concerts, Jeon Soyeon (G)I-DLE Discusses Relations With The Agency

JAKARTA - There were fans who surprised when the (G)I-DLE concert was held last week. They held a single concert for their third world tour titled IDOL on Saturday, August 3.

The members got a solo stage to perform alone, including their leader, Jeon Soyeon. But surprisingly, Jeon Soyeon appeared on a rap containing lyrics that their contract would expire in November this year.

Fans began to question the meaning of Jeon Soyeon's rap lyrics on her solo stage. Their agency, Cube Entertainment, released a clarification that the contract conversation was part of an appearance.

"The member contract update is scheduled for next year. Jeon Soyeon's lyrics are only part of the performance," Cube said on Tuesday, August 6.

"We discussed this issue because we are worried that there will be inaccurate reports and the company will suffer losses due to spontaneous actions that (Soyeon) did not discuss with us before," explained the agency.

Fans think the agency's statement is inconsistent because when Jeon Soyeon appears, a video as a background reads, 'The contract ends in November.' Fans question the agency's professionalism so that the writing can be a concept on its VP.

Jeon Soyeon also spoke through her personal social media. He realized that his actions did not always result in a sweet response from the public.

My concern is how to make other people happy. The second is how to make my team happy. Sometimes, this makes things too provocative or work that doesn't receive positive reactions. But I don't mean to disappoint anyone," Jeon Soyeon wrote via Instagram Story.

Regarding appearances too, I don't write lies or hide anything from the company. We trained dozens in front of everyone and set a stage together. Working together for 10 years, I have no negative feelings for the company based on articles in public," he continued.
