JAKARTA - Actress Cheng Pei-Pei passed away on Wednesday, July 17. He died due to a decrease in brain capacity and has donated his brain as part of the study.

Cheng Pei-pei is one of the icons of actress from China who became the pioneer of women's characters and martial arts. He died in the San Francisco Bay area.

She is a versatill actress, an award winner who has been running for six decades, not only in Asia but internationally like Jun (Lilting), Maria Wang (Meditation Park), and The Matchmaker (Mulan), they continued.

Born on January 6, 1946, Cheng Pei-pei made his acting debut through the film Lovers' Rock. Since then, he has become a major star in martial arts, action after starring in the film Come Drink With Me in 1966.

Then Cheng moved to California with his family and briefly attended the University of California. His four children followed in his footsteps as actors.

Cheng Pei-pei's name began to be highlighted after playing the character Jade Fox in the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in 2000. The film won four Oscars and won a box office in the United States by scoring 100 million US dollars.

He also acted in a number of films named Naked Weapon, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li, Lifting, and remake of Mulan's film in 2020.

Cheng Pei-pei died at the age of 78.
