JAKARTA - Daddio film brought Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn together under the direction of Christy Hall. This film was brought by KlikFilm to Indonesia after the success of the film How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies.

Daddio tells the story of two people who meet each other in one night. Girlie (Dakota Johnson) who arrives at New Yorkari Airport to return home. She boarded a taxi driven by the driver named Clark (Sean Penn).

At first, they just talked about their activities. Girlie also sees Clark as an ordinary driver who wants to know Girlie's life. Until a question made Girlie start to get interested and respond to Clark.

Clark worked as a taxi driver for 20 years knowing what Girlie was going through without asking deeper. Clark knows why Girlie went to New York and has a family in Oklahoma with her half-brother who has a long life distance.

Daddio film shows how two people are the main vehicles in delivering a film. On the surface, this film only tells the story of two people who talk in a taxi in the middle of traffic jams.

However, when exploring, Daddio explores every emotion that two characters have. The expressions of the characters are the key to how the story rolls.

Dakota Johnson's girlie is experiencing emotional upheaval when talking to Clark but also paying attention to her cell phone. The figure of the third person on the message also influenced how Johnson expressed himself.

The figure of Clark, who initially seemed disturbing to be a nurturing person and could break the line with Girlie.

The narrative feels long, tends to be boring for those who don't like stories with one background. However, this film can be something new in theaters. A simple, emotional story supported by beautiful cinematography.
