Marshel Widianto Asked To Resign From The Stand Up Event Because He Brought The Party Logo

JAKARTA - Marshel Widianto's plan to run for Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang has an impact on his profession as a comedian. He is said to have to withdraw from the Jambore Stand Up event after being asked by the President of Stand Up Indo, Adjis Doaribu.

Reporting from the upload of TikTok @ggahearofficial, Adjis Doaribu deleted Marshel Widianto's name as one of the performers of the event. This was done because Marshel brought the party logo that carried it.

Initially, Adjis felt that the news that Marshel brought the party logo was just a rumor. However, when confirmed, Marshel confirmed this so that his expulsion had to be carried out.

"Why did I get Marshel out of the event because I had spoken first. I asked 'Is this true?'," said Adjis Doaribu.

"He answered 'yes, sir, that's right'. So yes, I said because the event was close to the campaign period, so I chose not to be able to show you because it would not be ethical even in Yogyakarta," he added.

Adjis Doaribu emphasized that he had completed this in a good way. He has also advised Marshel that the communication between Indonesian comics will not interfere with Marshel's efforts in politics.

"We are fair, yes, that's it. But I told him, when you are nominated, Stand Up Indo will never force you to kill political dreams. We are free to think about politics," concluded Adjis Doaribu.
