Being A Public Official, Verrel Bramasta Is Ready To Leave A Luxury Lifestyle

JAKARTA - Artist Verrel Bramasta is confirmed to have qualified as a member of the West Java DPR after receiving 94,810 votes for legislative candidates based on the General Election Commission (KPU) fast count.

On one occasion, Verrel revealed that when he took office he was ready to leave his luxurious life. Not without reason, Verrel deliberately did this to adapt to his new profession as a people's'service'.

"Obviously (life is luxurious). If this is Verrel Bramasta, my friends see as an artist, being a celebrity and one of the things that supports us is appearance," said Verrel Bramasta in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, Wednesday, March 20.

"Later, when the status changes, become an automatic public official, everything from appearance, culture of life, whatever it is, must be adjusted and changed properly," he explained.

Not only that, the man who was born 27 years ago said that he was also ready to receive criticism from the public later when he was in office. The reason is that even before he entered politics, Verrel has often received criticism from netizens.

"I think from before taking office, from the start there have been many netizens who have also looked down on it. But for me it's okay maybe it's one of the pros and cons to being a public figure or being a person who plunges into the world of politics from entertainment," explained Verrel.

For him, criticism from netizens will be used as motivation for him to be able to prove that the performance of artists who become politicians can be better than other politicians.

"Surely people will look down on it, there will be a lot that we have to prove. But I will motivate that artists perform the same or even better than other politicians," he concluded.
