Road House Film Offers Match Scenes With New Techniques

JAKARTA - The Road House action film will air on Prime Video starting March 21. The story of this film follows a former UFC fighter named Dalton (Jake Gyllenhaal) who takes a job as a bouncer at a suburban bar in Florida Keys.

Dalton soon realized that this place was not what it looks like. In this film, Dalton's character is a former UFC fighter who tries to escape from his dark past and his tendency to violence.

Jake Gyllenhaal also underwent training for several months before filming to get fit like a real fighter.

Jake explained that he worked with the people who helped him during training, including phenomenal coaches, nutritionists who told him what they were allowed and couldn't eat, and the chef who prepared the food.

The scenes of fighting in the Road House are very important elements in this action film. The director admitted that he wanted to make it feel real as well as entertain the audience.

In order to achieve this goal, Doug collaborated with second-unit director/coordinator to substituteundundundundundang Warren and fight/coordinator to replace second-unit Steve Brown to create a new way of shooting the scene of the fight.

Doug and his team also developed a completely new multi-pass technique.

This is an A-B-C-D technique, which is a combination of four shootings. First, I asked the person to throw a punch. In the second take, the person wore a big red pad in his hand and hit as hard as possible at exactly the same time. The third take was a real handshot of the cushion. The last stage was just taking the background without the object in front, so we could combine all of those pictures," Warren said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 20.

The film Road House stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, Jessica Williams, Joaquim de Almeida, Conor McGregor, Lukas Gage, Arturo Castro, BK Cannon, Beau Knapp, Darren Barnet, and Dominique Columbus.
