Synopsis Of The Latest WeTV Indonesia's Series, 'Little Mom'

JAKARTA - WeTV is commercializing a new original serial show entitled Little Mom. In collaboration with Hitmaker Studios, WeTV Indonesia presents popular stars such as Natasha Wilona, Al Ghazali, Teuku Rassya, Elina Joerg, Raisya Bawazier, Sarah Tuff, and Indra Brasco.

Little Mom tells the story of Naura (Natasha Wilona), a beautiful, accomplished 16-year-old girl who is the pride of parents who aspire to become an obstetrician. Unfortunately, her dreams fall apart due to being pregnant with Yuda (Teuku Rassya), a cool and popular boy at school.

The situation becomes even more complicated as Yuda moves to Japan and Naura has to face Keenan (Al Ghazali), the troublemaker at school but is always there for Naura in times of trouble. Naura also has to face Celine (Elina Joerg), Naura's tough rival in every way, who also likes Keenan.

Little Mom will invite the audience to follow Naura's journey in dealing with a pregnancy in her teens and how she keeps her pregnancy secret. Plus her love triangle with Keenan and Yuda and her rivalry with Celine will spice up her journey to become a young mother who strives for her dreams.

The story of Litle Mom is adapted based on WHO data in 2018. There are more than two million adolescent girls aged 15-19 years old who gave birth from 2015 to 2020, this figure is 10% of the total birth rate in Indonesia.

The number of cases that are increasing every year has made Indonesia into the 7th place in the country with the highest number of young marriages. Little Mom will start filming on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.

13 Episodes in total

The 13-episode Little Mom series will be scheduled to air in mid-2021 and is exclusive to WeTV and iFlix as well.

Rocky Soraya as Producer and CEO of Hitmaker Studios said that he is interested in exploring the problems that often occur in the world of teenagers today.

"How do they interact and what happens when they are in a difficult situation such as pregnancy at a young age? A lot of topics like this have been worked on abroad, and in our opinion, the WeTV Original - Little Mom's story is universal enough to be worked on as a series in Indonesia", he said.

On the same occasion, Guntur Soeharjanto, who is the director also expressed his enthusiasm for working on the Little Mom series. "Being accustomed to making projects for the big screen, then trying to make projects for web series is a challenging thing for me. The format is very different, different technicalities are one of the attractions for me when I decided to take this project", he said.

According to Guntur, the power of Little Mom's story is very close to teenagers nowadays is a good material to make a story. "With serial storytelling, it becomes deeper to describe the characters, conflicts, and storylines. Hopefully, it will become a cool web series. Let's hope for the best", he said.
