JAKARTA - Film Badarawuhi di Desa Penari garapan rumah produksi MD Entertainment berkolaborasi dengan IMAX dalam proses pembuatan hingga penayangannya pada saat lebaran 2024 mendatang.
Executive Producer of MD Pictures, Manoj Punjabi said the idea had been sparked since 6 months ago that the horror film starring Aulia Sarah will be made in the IMAX cinema version.
"So last year we wanted to shoot September October so I had 3, 4, 5, 6 months ago there was a desire to go to IMAX. I've also posted on my Instagram, I went to IMax headquarters. So before I got there I wanted to go to see it and maybe 6 months. So when I cross the script, I imagined it had to be IMAX," said Manoj Punjabi in the Kebayoran Lama area, South Jakarta, Wednesday, March 6.
According to Manoj himself, this is the right moment for him to raise the Indonesian film standard. So it's not surprising that the camera used is a verified camera with IMAX.
"So from there I just thought 'wah, we have to relevance our standards', just from the converter, because a lot of people want this to converge, imagine being made from IMAX, so the process, earlier what was conveyed in terms of the camera must be IMAX certificate or IMAX approval," he continued.
As a result, Badarawuhi Film was named the first Indonesian film to collaborate with IMAX to compete with 3 Hollywood films such as The Dune Part 2, Venom to Joker.
