JAKARTA - Amanda Manopo's appearance in the film Kupu Paper has been in the spotlight on social media. Seeing her more thin face change, netizens speculated that the actress had undergone a plastic surgery procedure.

When asked about the netizen's assessment of the changes in his face, Amanda Manopo casually explained that she was on a diet to lose weight, so that her face became more thin.

"Oh, I'm thin? Yes, it's called a diet, say, there must be a change," said Amanda Manopo ahead of the premiere of the film Kupu Paper at Epicentrum, South Jakarta, Monday, January 29.

Regarding allegations of plastic surgery, Amanda responded jokingly. He did not want to be too far in response to these accusations.

"Oh, it's really fun to be given (plastic surgery) like that. I'm happy," said Amanda.

"Yes, it's called news, yes, there is," he added.

For information, Amanda Manopo plays Ning, a teenage girl in the midst of a bloody conflict that occurred in Banyuwangi, East Java in 1965, between the Ansor Youth Movement from Nahdlatul Ulama and the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) sympathizers.

Kupu-Kupu Paper tells the story of a pair of teenagers who love each other, but are hindered by the circumstances around them.

Apart from Amanda Manopo, Kupu Paper also stars Chicco Kurniawan, Iwa K, Reza Oktovian, Samo Rafael, Fajar Nugra, Ayu Laksmi, and Seroja Hafiedz.
