Shanghai Disney Resort Reopens To The Public

JAKARTA - Shanghai Disney Resort announced today, March 9, that it will open several sections such as shopping centers, dining and recreation areas in Disneytown, the Wishing Star park and the Shanghai Disneyland hotel. As for the main venue, Disneyland remains closed.

This is the first time the resort has opened since January 25 to prevent the spread of COVID-19 or the corona virus. At that time, they decided to close all Disneyland operations until an indefinite time. They also provide refunds for potential visitors including those who have booked hotels and other Disneyland services.

However, this time they opened some of their facilities with a note that they only opened for certain times such as for Disneytown which operates from 11 am to 7 pm. Meanwhile, the Wishing Star park is open from 10 am to 5 pm. The announcement will be posted on the resort's official website as well as their social media accounts.

Disneytown continues to carry out regulations such as checking the temperature before entering the Disneyland area and providing a Health QR Code when entering the dining area. Visitors are also asked to wear masks during a visit to Disneyland.

When waiting in line or in a public area, visitors are expected to be able to temporarily take care of themselves. This has contributed to the declining corona virus statistics in China in recent days. A total of 40 new cases were reported last Sunday.

It was reported that 80,738 people were positively infected with the corona virus, 3,120 died, while 58,624 were declared cured. Meanwhile, the Wuhan area has closed 11 emergency hospitals as the number of patients has decreased this week.
