The role of Didi Kempot in Sobat Ambyar is not only through songs, but also through characters. Unfortunately, Didi Kempot as executive producer passed away in May 2020, in the middle of film production. However, film production continues until it is shown on Netflix.

Now, Didi Kempot's twin named Bambang Surono appears. His figure is viral because his face is said to be similar to the late Didi Kempot. Actually, this man from Boyolali has been since 1999. Even Bambang once had the opportunity to go on a stage with Didi Kempot.

"Lots of people say I look a lot like the late Didi Kempot. It's been a long time. Then at the end of 2019 I had the opportunity to meet him at the Boyolali Regency DPRD," Bambang said at Trans TV Studio, Thursday, February 18.

To make it even more similar, Didi Kempot asked him to pull out his hair. "At that time, I introduced myself to Mas Didi. It was over the event and I took a photo, he told me to stretch my hair," he added.

And that mandate is now being carried out by Bambang. With long-haired appearance, Bambang looks even more like Didi Kempot.

Even though he is similar, Bambang does not want to be called as a substitute for Didi Kempot. Bambang just wanted to continue spreading Javanese culture and preserving his works. "I only have the mandate to preserve his work. Mas Didi Kempot will not be replaced," he added.
