Makin Sempit Regency Fiscal, ADKASI Meets Dudung Abdurachman

Jakarta - The Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Dudung Abdurachman received an audit of the Association of Regional DPRD of All Indonesia (ADKASI) at his office, Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 23.

During the meeting, ADKASI asked the government to review the direction of regional autonomy. Because they assess that the authority of the district continues to shrink, while the fiscal capacity of the region is increasingly under pressure.

The General Chair of ADKASI Siswato said that a number of strategic sectors such as mining, plantations, forestry, and marine affairs are now managed more by the central and provincial governments. As a result, the district only relies on relatively small sources of income. He also highlighted the decline in transfer funds to the region.

According to ADKASI, the transfer fund which in 2024 reached Rp919 trillion is now around Rp693 trillion. This condition is considered to narrow the regional fiscal space to finance development.

Therefore, ADKASI proposes a revision of Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government and the addition of transfer funds in the 2027 State Budget.

Dudung said that the aspirations of ADKASI would be forwarded to President Prabowo Subianto.
