Dipa Andika as a producer explained that the idea of a somewhat Laen film stems from Ernest Prakasa's conversation with a "Slight Laen" on their YouTube channel. Then, the conversation developed into a film that was really worked on.

"There's definitely different characters from each other, only the comedy here is made simple like a standup, but trying to make comedy easy for everyone," said Ernest Prakasa.

Approximately Laen tells the story of Oki (Oki Rengga), Boris (Boris Bokir), Bene (Bene Dion), Indra (Indra Jegel) who works in a ghost house. One day, a man dies in the ghost house and makes the four face a series of strange events.

Approximately Laen will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting February 1, 2024.
