Held Hybridly, French Cinema Festival 2023 Ready To Show 20 French Films

JAKARTA - KlikFilm and the Indonesian Francais Institute (IFI) collaborate, presenting the French Cinema Festival (FSP) 2023. This festival will take place in a hybrid manner, namely offline in 14 cities in Indonesia and online at KlikFilm, from 17 to 26 November 2023.

The French Cinema Festival 2023 carries the theme Palme d'Or, which is the highest award at the Cannes Film Festival. This theme was chosen to celebrate the diversity and creativity of French cinemas that have made achievements in the international arena.

During the event, the French Cinema Festival 2023 will screen more than 20 French films from various genres, which are screened in 14 cities throughout Indonesia, as well as 10 films that can be accessed online through the KlikFilm platform.

"We are lucky, currently film distributors are getting more open. In the past, to watch the Palme d'Or winning film, I don't know when to watch it. But, at this time, everything is open. KlikFilm has even shown Titane who won the Palme d'Or 2021 and Triangle Of Sadness who won the Palme d'Or 2022," explained Ifa Isfansyah, director of the Kretek Girls.

Apart from Ifa Isfansyah, actress Asmara Abigail also participated in the French Road To Festival Sinema event. He revealed that this event was an important moment for cultural relations between France and Indonesia, especially regarding films.

"I am very happy because I have participated in the road to session at the French Cinema Festival with the film Annette. In my opinion, it is very important for cultural, cultural, especially film relations," said Asmara Abigail.
