Hotman Paris Doesn't Want To Hold The Verny Hasan Case That Asks Denny Sumargo To Test DNA Again

JAKARTA - Hotman Paris Hutapea also commented on Verny Hasan's dispute with Denny Sumargo which re-emerged due to the problem of DNA testing.

As previously known, Verny Hasan publicly made a statement on his social media account, asking Denny Sumargo to re-test his DNA to prove his status for a child born to Verny.

In response to this, Hotman saw that Verny still believed that Densu was the biological father of her child. For that matter, the Batak-blooded lawyer did not want to comment too far.

"If you comment on why, maybe he (Verny Hasan) is very sure, that's it, maybe he is very sure," said Hotman Paris to the media crew in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta last week.

Hotman said that Verny Hasan did not believe the results of the DNA test conducted by Denny Sumargo in 2019. Therefore, it is natural for him to see the woman known as the disc jockey (DJ) asking for a retest.

"In the past, he had also confided in me, long before, he said he was not sure about the DNA test. That's the point," said Hotman Paris.

"You yourself, if you only have (sexual intercourse) with one person, then who is trying, who is the father? Maybe he is sure, that's all," he continued.

However, despite the chaos that occurred, Hotman Paris did not want to interfere too deeply. For him, the issue of Verny Hasan and Denny Sumargo is very personal, so they do not need his help as a legal advisor.

"Because I always choose cases, if Hotman 911 is just a case that really touches the sense of humanity. If it's personal like this, I don't want to hold it," he said.

Furthermore, Hotman Paris argues that Denny Sumargo is not required to undergo a DNA test. He considered it difficult to process it legally, given the absence of a criminal act committed.

"The point is, if the guy doesn't want to (dNA testing), he can't. Unless, for example, there is a crime. That's just the police force. But if you want to do this, you can't, the police can't interfere. There is no legal action," said Hotman Paris.

For information, Denny Sumargo, through a video uploaded on his social media account, has stated his readiness to undergo a DNA test for the second time. He is waiting for an answer from Verny Hasan who stated that he wants to choose his own hospital for the test.

"Let's do the DNA test twice. I'm waiting for the answer, let the public who started this problem, so you can't run left-right anymore, you can't be smart anymore," said Denny Sumargo.

"Wait for the answer, yes, 1 24 hours," he concluded.
