Park Hae Jin, Park Sung Woong, And Lim Ji Yeon Share Characters In The Killing Vote

JAKARTA - A thriller Korean drama titled The Killing Vote started its premiere on Thursday, August 10 yesterday. This drama tells the story of a criminal world wrapped in thriller starring Park Hae Jin, Lim Ji Yeon, and Park Sung Woong.

Kim Moo Chan (Park Hae Jin) is the leader of the investigative team who was met with Kwon Seok Joo (Park Sung Woong) and Joo Hyun (Lim Ji Yeon) on a mission to find Dog Mask.

What about when a verdict can be given through voting from netizens? When criminals avoid punishment, all people over the age of 18 receive a message for polling whether the person needs to be sentenced to death. If the response reaches 50 percent, this person will be killed by Dog Mask, a mysterious figure who is being chased by the police.

The police are looking for the identity of Dog Mask who can control the vote to the public.

"He is caught in a dilemma whether the punishment for criminals is fair or not. I think it will be interesting to see if he will stay good or move on to the side of the darkness," Park Hae Jin said of his character.

My character is a lieutenant who works for the Cybersecurity Bureau at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. He was once a mainstay in his team, but is now considered a troublesome figure because of his inability to refrain from speaking, added Lim Ji Yeon.

Meanwhile, Park Sung Woong said his character was an ambiguous figure. The character Kwok Sun Joo is someone who was imprisoned and surrendered because of the death of his daughter.

My character (Kwon Seok-joo) is ambiguously among good and evil. He's a well-known law graduate who has published a book, "said Park Sung Woong.

This drama adapted from a webtoon tries to emphasize the story of its already popular webtoon. According to director Park Shin Woo, the players brought his character to life and made The Killing Vote even more interesting to watch.

Our series has tensions and focuses on the aspect of the game. The players also perfect their characters, so I think the characters will feel alive and real compared to the webtoon character," said Park Shin Woo.

Interestingly, The Killing Vote brought together Park Hae Jin and Park Sung Woong after acting in the same title in 2017. However, they admitted that there was a difference from the previous title with this title.

Man to Man is a light comedy, but for this series, we discussed how to act. During training, Park Hae-jin really cried. We actually met more often during the making of this series," explained Park Sung Woong.

'Park Sung-woong is like a sibling to me. I don't have a brother, but Park Sung-woong feels like that. I can convey my concerns to him," added Park Hae Jin.
