Elma Theana's Story Is Wrong To Enter A Beauty Clinic Due To The Similarity Of A Name

JAKARTA - beauty clinics are one of the services that many artists often use to support their performance more optimally. Today, many artists are even working with beauty clinics.

One of the beauty clinics in Surakarta owned by Kristian Sanjaya, BENNING also has patients from among artists, including Elma Theana and Dave Hendrik.

However, there is an incident where Kristian Sanjaya feels that he cannot provide maximum service to his patients. This is because there is a beauty clinic with a similar name, Bening's Clinic.

Kristian Sanjaya said that one of her patients from among the artists, Elma Theana, was confused when she wanted to visit her clinic. The 48-year-old actress entered the clinic wrongly because of a similar name.

"For example, there was one patient, Elma Theana. When he went to Solo, he went down to the wrong place. He had to call first, then he got to the right clinic," said Kristian Sanjaya during a press conference in Tebet, South Jakarta on Tuesday, August 8.

Kristian said that Oky Pratama's clinic had disrupted its business, especially since the clinic is known to often work with many famous artists and influencers.

"Moreover, these clinics often publish with large artists and influencers who are already known to the public, so that the existence of my brand, which has been used from the start, seems to be equalized or obscured as part of them," said Kristian Sanjaya.

"This is very disturbing for the continuity of our clinic, because there are similar readings. Often (our beauty clinics) are considered by the community as the same place and they enter the wrong place," he continued.

Not without reason if Kristian feels aggrieved. He claimed to have patented the name of his clinic first than Oky Pratama's clinic.

Kristian claimed to have registered in advance with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in class 44 since 2010. Meanwhilearq, according to him, the clinic he was discussing only registered in 2017.

Kristian Sanjaya has also made legal remedies by filing a lawsuit against the Cancellation of a Brand at the Commercial Court at the Central Jakarta District Court with case register number: 58 / Pdt.Sus-HKI / Merek / 2023 / PN.Niaga.Jkt.Pst.

When asked further about his lawsuit, Kristian stated that the legal action he took was not specific, especially for Oky Pratama and artists and influencers who had been brand ambassadors.

"Our lawsuit is brand cancellation, we are not focused on any of the people," said Kristian Sanjaya.
