JAKARTA - Max Pictures is here to present a comedy film entitled Why Do You Love Me which is a remake of a Belgian film entitled Hasta La Vista. Why Do You Love Tells the story of three men with disabilities who are looking for their identity.

They started a road trip from Jakarta to Surabaya. They hope to get their first sexual experience. The three men are Baskara (Adipati Dolken) who suffer from paralyzed nerves. Danton (Jefri Nichol) a brain tumor sufferer who paralyzed the lower part of his body.

Miko (Onadio Leonardo) is a person with reptinitis of pigmentosa who makes it blind. They will not allow anything to hinder their journey. Assisted by Endang (TJ Ruth) who served as a driver, many funny things happen along the way.

Director Herwin Novianto hopes that this film can be entertaining. "This film has a different theme from the existing big screen films. Hopefully the audience can be entertained by the film Why Do You Love Me," he hoped at a press conference in the Gatot Subroto area, South Jakarta, Thursday, June 22.

Adipati Dolken mengungkapkan, perlu persiapan untuk memerankan tokoh Baskara di film ini. "Preparannya lebih mempelajari technical karakter saya supaya bisa menjadi karakter yang solid dan ngebonding karena di film ini kita bertiga adalah sahabat yang punya banyak bersamaan. Kalau masalah chemistry, kita bertiga sudah teman lama, jadi enggak ada masalah," terangnya.

Meanwhile, Onadio Leonardo admitted that he changed the point of view of people with disabilities very important after playing the character Miko. "Changing the point of view of people with disabilities is very important and from here I am spiritually aware that there is still a lot of light in the dark," he explained.

Meanwhile, Jefri Nichol plays the character Danton admits that he experienced something unique while filming. "So the story is that we have three dialogues in the car. At that time, the dialogue was already in. But, it turned out that he was silent. It turned out that behind his glasses he was sleeping," said Jefri.

TJ Ruth also had a unique experience when driving a car made in the 1960s. "Here, the car used by the 1960s car, and manual. Meanwhile, I used to drive an automatic car. What is even more a challenge, mindahin teeth above, like a metromini. It takes a special time for me to learn," he said.
