In his remarks, Wina Armada Sukardi, SH said, the theme of FFWI 2023 is Gemilang Indonesia, Strong Film, Superior Culture.

This year, we will assess four film genres, namely Drama, Comedy, Horror, and Matches. In two consecutive years, the Game genre has not been included in the FFWI judging assessment, because the number has not met the quota. We apply a minimum number of five film titles to be judged by the jury," said Wina.
The judging process will run in two stages. At the initial judging of the film, 21 selected journalists will be assessed, and the final 5-7 judges consist of senior journalists.
The jury is tasked with assessing and determining nine elements, namely the main actors and artists, supporting actors and artists, screenwriters, editing/editor, DOP/camera operators, directors, and the best films.
In addition, the committee also provided special Best of The Best trophies and trophies for film figures or actors that met the criteria.
Wina said, the FFWI committee this year began a new tradition to give appreciation in the form of money to all FFWI winners. "Even though there are not many winners. However, we are trying to give the best appreciation to the winners this year," said Wina.
