JAKARTA - The superhero film Sri Asih will air on Disney+ Hotstar starting March 24, 2023. The second film from Jagat Sinema Bumilangit (BCU) follows the story of Alana, an orphan adopted by a wealthy woman. Alana grew up and built a career as a professional MMA fighter. Mateo Adinegara, the only son of a wealthy businessman, is challenged to fight Alana who has a reputation and has never lost a fight. When Alana managed to beat the man, Mateo instead attacked the fighter club belonging to the Alana family. They had to face the Adinegara family who were acting arbitrarily because they conspired with corrupt police. Alana kemudian menyadari dirinya merupakan titisan dari Dewi Asih, sang Dewi Keadilan. Di sisi lain, Alana harus menghadapi keluarga Adinegara serta orang-orang yang mengancam keselamatan manusia. Not only exciting stories, this film also involves a row of top actors, namely Pevita Pearce, Reza Rahadian, Christine Hakim, Jefri Nichol, Dimas Anggara, Surya Saputra, Jenny Zhang, and Randy Pangalila. Produced by Screenplay Bumilangit, Sri Asih involves filmmakers such as Upi as director and writer, as well as Joko Anwar who is involved as a writer. Iko Uwais and Uwais Team were also involved, training Pevita to perform the scene of the match at Sri Asih. Which is an attraction, this film includes many elements of Javanese culture, ranging from language, clothing, to several details of Javanese distinctive ornaments. This makes Sri Asih feel close and relevant to culture in Indonesia.
