JAKARTA - Everyone knows that women often receive gender-biased stereotypes. Among them, they are attached with common properties that must be gentle, calm, or sensitive.

Research conducted by several psychologists from the University of Illinois, University of New York, and forced University in the US shows that at the age of six, girls can have the belief that they are not as young as boys. This affects the way they see themselves and make decisions.

As parents, it is time for us to stop these stereotypes. It is important for parents to grow children according to their talents and interests, educate them to be brave and confident girls.

With a heavy heart, it must be admitted that many of our society still assess women only based on their physicality: skin color, size and body shape, hair model, and others. Tell the children that the physical shape does not determine the quality of a woman.

Talent, character, knowledge, and abilities make a person considered good. Help them find their identity and strengths in order to become a woman who is not inferior.
