Vulgar Photos Are Self-Narcissism, Really?

Taking selfies or selfies has become common today. People can do it anywhere and anytime. From standard poses to challenging ones can be done. In fact, there are also people who don't hesitate to take a selfie with a sexy look without clothes.

Even though the impact of vulgar photos is clearly the risk. If it gets scattered, you will have to bear the consequences yourself. At a minimum, you will be the material of gossip from people around you. However, given the obvious impact, why do people still like open photos?

Psychology professor Dara Greenwood says that people do it because of a basic human instinct. Uploading a photo of yourself can make someone feel appreciated and seen by others.

Psychologist Anna Surti Ariani argues that people like to take sexy pictures in search of recognition. Anna said, this behavior could also be because the person concerned is a narcissist.

Anything could possibly be the background of someone taking a vulgar photo. However, this narcissistic problem cannot be ascertained until it is asked directly to the person.

Anna said that narcissistic is when people really admire themselves and feel good physically. Even though according to other people it may be normal.

Is it wrong to admire yourself? Actually this is quite normal and human. You deserve to be amazed at yourself, be it your physicality, intelligence, talent, bright career, or even popularity.

Narcissism need not be viewed as something wrong and bad. Psychologist Tika Bisono said that in order to survive, humans need to be praised, appreciated, and this is a human need.

Physical narcissists usually do not see the other advantages that can be shown from him. They may feel less intelligent, less talented, or less popular. This condition will encourage him to experiment with his physique in order to explore his potential.

In the end, people take sexy photos for the sake of self-gratification and this is the kind of satisfaction that the public doesn't get.

Furthermore, Tika also said that physical experimentation as a form of narcissism is natural if it is carried out for personal satisfaction. So, when you take sensual photos, highlight certain body parts, or even get naked for yourself, it's all okay.

However, all of this will be a different problem if sexy photos of yourself are uploaded to social media, shared, or even sold.
