Creators Say No New Characters In Stranger Things 5

JAKARTA - The fifth season will be the final chapter of the Stranger Things series. Although a release date has not yet been announced, the creators of the Duffer brothers have revealed some points from the series.

Through a recent interview, they revealed that there were no new characters in the last season. Stranger Things 5 will focus on existing characters.

"Every time we introduce a new character, we make sure they are an internal part of the narrative," Ross Duffer quoted IndieWire as saying.

"But every time we do that, we get nervous because it's like 'We have great characters here and every moment we're with a new character, we're taking time away from the other actors'" he explained.

Therefore, they try not to change the focus of the Stranger Things story, namely to Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and her friends.

“I like to mix it up, so we combine it by changing the plot or adding new monsters. We're doing our best to refrain from adding new characters," said Matt Duffer.

"We try not to do that so we can focus on the original character. I think so," he continued.

There are a number of new characters in Stranger Things 4, namely Jamie Campbell Power, Eduardo Franco, and Joseph Quinn. Their appearance in the series stole the public's attention.

In the previous season, Eleven found the figure of Vecna and fought him. On the other hand, Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and his friends are trying to fight a new monster that will destroy their city.
