During the trial period, the M70D rice variety managed to achieve a harvest of 9.6 tons/ha with a planting period of only 63 days. This super rice is the result of a cross from Padi Genjah Rawe Malang with Cempo Banyuwangi.

2. Seed productivity is high

Padi M70D is an acronym for Moeldoko 70 Days, which is a high-yielding variety seed. Even the harvest can reach 8 tons per hectare. The productivity of the M70D variety is high. Because they can harvest quickly, every year farmers can plant rice at least 3-4 times. Moeldoko said, the increase in production is expected to increase the welfare of farmers.

3. Tested with regard to organoleptic

Organoleptic test is a test of sensory results of harvested rice. Abundant harvests without conformity to the tongue of the Indonesian people, can be meaningless. Therefore, a sensory test was carried out to produce fluffier rice when cooked. As a result, the yield of the M70D is guaranteed that the rice is fluffier and delicious when cooked.

4. Resistant to certain pests

The research was carried out thoroughly, other advantages besides being productive, faster planting period, to fluffier yields, M70D rice seeds are also resistant to certain pests. This rice variety is resistant to leafhoppers and tungro virus.

5. Easy maintenance, faster fertilization period

At the age of 25 days of rice, need to be given fertilizer. Fertilizers are also recommended to favor organic fertilizers. At the age of 45 days, foliar fertilization can be added, namely the content of fertilizers that contain more phosphate and potassium.
