Lily Rose Depp And Jennie BLACKPINK Appear In The Idol Series Trailer

JAKARTA - The HBO television channel has released the first teaser trailer for the latest series entitled The Idol. The series is a collaboration between creators Sam Levinson and The Weeknd.

The one-minute teaser features Lily Rose Depp as the main character. Her life changes after getting acquainted with a man starring The Weeknd or Abel Tesfaye.

This video shows the practice procession before performing. In some parts, BLACKPINK's Jennie and Troye Sivan also acted in the series.

Jennie's appearance seemed to confirm the news that she joined The Idol. Previously, YG Entertainment did not respond to this news when it was released last June.

This project is Jennie's first acting debut in the American series, although it is not yet known what Jennie's role is in this series.

The Idol is about a pop singer who begins a romantic relationship with a club owner in Los Angeles. The singer had no idea that the club owner was the leader of a sect.

Directed by Amy Seimetz, this series is also done by Reza Fahim, who was once a nightclub owner. Now he helps The Weeknd and Sam Levinson work on The Idol.

Initially, The Idol series will consist of 7 episodes and airs in April. But so far HBO has not confirmed a release date.
