Taylor Swift Comments Roe V Wade's Abortion Rights Cancel

JAKARTA - The United States Supreme Court declared the cancellation of abortion rights, also known as Roe v Wade, on Friday, June 24. The decision leaves no constitutional right to abortion.

This received a negative response from a number of circles, including public figures. Taylor Swift is one of the singers who voiced her disappointment after this decision was issued.

"I fear this is where we are - after decades of fighting for women's rights to their bodies, today's decision disarms us," Taylor Swift wrote the same day.

Swift also retweeted Michelle Obama's post about abortion rights. Michelle said she was disappointed with the Supreme Court's decision.

A number of other artists such as Taylor Swift also expressed their disappointment with this such as Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Elizabeth Banks and others.

“Today is a dark day for women in the United States. I can't bear to think about it," said Billie Eilish during a performance at Glastonbury on the same day.

The cancellation of abortion rights was written by Samuel Alito who called Roe something wrong from the start.

“The reasons are very weak, and the decision has disastrous consequences. And far from bringing about a national solution to the abortion issue, Roe and Casey have stirred debate and deepened divisions," Alito said, citing The Independent.
