JAKARTA - Johnny Depp is gearing up to head to Europe for an overseas tour with his band, Hollywood Vampires, which includes rock personalities such as Joe Perry, Alice Cooper, and Tommy Henriksen.

According to Variety, the band had previously canceled a tour in March due to obstacles related to the pandemic.

"We are continuing to work towards making it (the concert tour) a reality, but unfortunately due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 travel restrictions, this has become impossible," they wrote in a statement at the time.

Now, the group plans to reunite with fans in Germany and Luxembourg for six scheduled shows, including at the Rudolf Weber Arena in Oberhausen, Germany.

Their final show will be on June 30 at the Zitadelle in Mainz, Germany.

Depp had appeared with Jeff Beck as a guest on his live show - which made headlines when the actor traveled to Europe to begin performing with the legendary guitarist shortly before his trial verdict in a lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Since then, Depp has joined Beck again for a series of shows in Europe until the tour concludes on July 25 in Paris.

Beck and Depp also collaborated on a new album, "18". They released the project together on July 15 with the first single "This Is A Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr" having been released.

The song, written by Depp, pays homage to American film actress Hedy Lamarr (who died in 2000 at the age of 85). It is one of two songs written by Depp for the project, the other being "Sad Motherfuckin' Parade".

The original tracks that Johnny Depp wrote were outliers from "18," an album consisting of cover songs, some sung by Depp, some in full instrumental form.

In a statement, Beck said he was "fascinated" by Depp when he first shared the song "Hedy Lamarr", three years ago.

"That song is one of the reasons I asked him (Depp) to make an album with me," Beck said.
