JAKARTA - An adult vampire series centered on two lesbian characters is currently in development. First Kill , adapted from a short story by acclaimed New York Times writer Victoria "VE" Schwab.

The one-hour series is based on a short story of the same name by Victoria "VE" Schwab that was published in the Imprint Vampire Never Get Old: Tales with Fresh Bite story collection in September.

Schwab is producing the series and will serve as writer and executive producer. Felicia D. Henderson will play the role of writer, executive producer, and showrunner. Emma Roberts and Karah Preiss will be executive producers under their Belletrist Productions banner.

Belletrist Production won the rights to Schwab's work after going through fierce competition with 18 other companies. Reportedly, Netflix has ordered eight episodes.
