Reasons Why Johnny Depp Didn't Want To See Amber Heard During Trial

JAKARTA - The trial for defamation of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp was held on Monday, May 16. The trial, which was held in Fairfax, Virginia, became a concern after Depp was seen never seeing his ex-wife.

Throughout the trial, Depp looked away or looked down whenever Amber Heard spoke. Likewise, when the trial was over, Depp chose to turn his back on Heard when he left.

“Master Depp never saw you during this trial, right?” said Camille Vasquez, Johnny Depp's attorney during cross-examination.

"Not that I noticed, but I didn't," replied Amber Heard.

"You've seen it many times haven't you?" Vasquez continued, confirmed by Amber Heard.

"You know why Mr. Depp didn't see you?" asked Vasquez to which Heard again responded correctly.

The lawyer explained that Amber Heard once said she didn't want to look Johnny Depp in the eye. Later, Vasquez played one of the tapes that played Heard's conversation with Depp.

At that time, Heard had asked the police for a restraining order against Johnny Depp. But he asked Depp to meet in San Francisco in 2016. Depp promised Heard would never see his eyes again.

"I don't remember if I ever said that. As far as I know, he can't see me," said Amber Heard.

Amber Heard's party stated that Johnny Depp did not have the courage to see his ex-wife. If he was innocent, Depp shouldn't have acted like this.

"No wonder Mr. Depp didn't dare look at Heard during the trial - because he couldn't and instead he scribbled on (paper) and chuckled," Amber Heard's party said.

Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard after writing about his experiences as a victim of domestic violence in The Washington Post in 2018. Depp aims to find the truth after suffering heavy losses from the statement.
