Back To Acting In Our Blues, Kim Woo Bin Admits He Was Seasick

JAKARTA - Kim Woo Bin chose Our Blues as his latest project after undergoing recovery. Through this drama, he plays a ship captain named Park Jung Joon and competes with Han Ji Min.

Kim Woo Bin feels proud because he can be in a project with senior actors especially this is the latest drama since 2016.

“I was restless all day. I was in a project with a senior actor I idolized. And some of them are already familiar so I'm very enthusiastic," said Kim Woo Bin at the Our Blues press conference on Thursday, April 7.

“It's not always the case – being on a project together with an awesome actor. So I feel happy," he added.

When asked about his shooting experience, Kim Woo Bin admitted that he was seasick because of his character's background.

“I shot on the ship for some scenes. I am seasick. I took pills to deal with nausea, but I still got seasick,” said Kim Woo Bin.

“If someone is sick, we have to turn the boat around and shoot another scene so I try to concentrate on breathing. Because if I let my guard down a little, the nausea will appear again, "he explained.

The 32-year-old actor practices breathing to calm himself down like meditation. All of this was done so that he could continue filming without bothering the production team.

“Those were times that I couldn't easily experience anywhere else so those situations were the most memorable for me,” said Kim Woo Bin.

Our Blues is an omnibus drama that tells three stories on Jeju Island. Park Jung Joon (Kim Woo Bin) is a man who falls in love with Lee Young Ok (Han Ji Min), a female diver who recently moved to Jeju.

Kim Woo Bin's newest drama, Our Blues will air starting Saturday, April 9 on Netflix.
