JAKARTA - Singer Marcello Tahitoe or known as Ello was lined up to be the vocalist of Dewa 19 band. This news was revealed directly by him through his official Instagram page by including several photos showing Ello practicing with Dewa 19 personnel.

"I never thought that I would be able to join @officialdewa19," Ello said as quoted on Tuesday, March 1.

In the description of the upload, Ello said that he had liked Dewa 19's works for a long time. To be chosen as the new vocalist was a dream come true for Ello.

"From the beginning, I only listened and idolized their works. But finally, I got this opportunity. It was like a dream," he said, as quoted from ANTARA.

However, Ello realized that he could not replace the old vocalist of Dewa 19 such as Ari Lasso and Once Mekel.

"I know that I will never be able to replace the previous vocalists, but I will give my best for this band," said the singer of "Pergi Untuk Kembali".

Ello also hopes that his presence can be accepted by fans of Dewa 19 or Baladewa. "And for my new family @baladewafamilia, I ask for your support to start my new life journey with you," said Ello.

The announcement was greeted enthusiastically by his fans and Bala Dewa. "Ello really fits... The feel is really good," wrote the account @bakriesatria.
