JAKARTA - Director Lee JQ responded to the popularity of the All of Us Are Dead series, which has the potential for a second season. As is known, All of Us Are Dead ranked first in the Netflix Top 10 the day after its release. All of Us Are Dead tells the story of a group of high school kids who are trapped in a school in the middle of a zombie attack.
"If the first season (All of Us Are Dead) continues to be popular in the long term, then it becomes the foothold for the second season," said Lee JQ, according to the Korea Herald.
"Personally, I want to make a second season but nothing has been officially confirmed so far," said Lee JQ.
Not a few scenes of All of Us Are Dead that became iconic and discussed. One of them was when Lee Cheong San (Yoon Chan Young) was seen falling with Gwi Nam (Yoo In Soo).
"There are many who can't accept that but there will be fans who are happy with this scene. We have a plan but it's difficult to share it here," he replied firmly.
Apart from that, Lee JQ has an idea about the fate of the characters in All of Us Are Dead.
“I have an image when I imagine what would happen to the other actors, including Cheong San if they appeared in the second season. I want to add more plot twists than the first season," said Lee JQ.
Lee Cheong San's scene was one of the scenes that made Lee JQ cry. He said, Cheong San's figure is a mature child but is pressured by the choices he has.
Meanwhile, Lee JQ is already imagining plans and stories for the next season. Different from the concept of the first season, the second season of All of Us Are Dead will focus on zombie groups.
"If the first season featured comparisons and contrasts about how adults and students survived in the midst of a zombie outbreak, I wanted to show a comparison between the human group and the zombie group in the second season," explained Lee JQ.
