Rootbond

JAKARTA - The vocalist of the blues rock band Blackout, Azizi released the debut single from his new band, Rootbond, on December 26 yesterday. The single is titled Baby I Miss You.

The song, which will be included in Rootband's debut album, begins the trilogy story in two concepts for the video clip for the next single. The album itself is planned to be present in the middle of next year.

“This song talks about holding back longing, because of busy, unfriendly natural situations. A more universal wait," said Azizi in a written statement received by VOI, Monday, December 27.

Rootbond was formed in Magelang, Central Java about three years ago. Apart from Azizi on the vocal line, the band is fronted by Antok (bass), Oggi (drums) and Lala (guitar).

The name Azizi began to attract the attention of the music public in the country when he joined Blackout. The band from Jakarta was formed by Ega (guitar) with Azizi in 2007 and released their first self-titled album three years later.

Other Blackout personnel, which include Iwan Xaverius (bass), Sastro (keyboards), and Rere (drums) are musicians who have been around for a long time in the Indonesian professional music scene.

Like Iwan Xaverius who is the former bassist of Edane, then Sastro who is none other than the former keyboardist of the Power Metal band, then Rere who is still listed as the drummer for Grass Rock.
